Betty Paret's "First Harp Book" was recommended to me by harp of the first day book harp teacher as a way to build basic skills for myself. (I am an experienced adult pianist-turned-harpist.) Not only are the exercises just what I needed, but the songs are nicely arranged, with much beauty and elegance/5(21).

Sylvia's wonderful harp suite The Harp of Brandiswhiere was really what made me love the harp so it was only right that I try her book first. I'm glad I did, since after comparing it to other beginner books, I found it to be the best.
